2. What are you reading (honestly)?
The New Rules of Lifting for Women- Lift Like a Man Look Like a Goddess, by Lou Schuler
It discusses how important strength training is versus aerobics and contains delicious, healthy recipes.

3. What is your guilty pleasure when you get a break from the kids?
Shopping! After working for Saks, followed by my Fresh position, I’ve become obsessed with the really GOOD brands. Being on a SAHM limited budget, I love finding the nice brands in Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Ross.

4. What would we be surprised to find in your purse?
Stickers. I never know when I’m going to need to bribe my toddler with a positive reward!

5. What is your favorite reality TV show?

Keeping up with the Kardashians

6. What is your cocktail of choice?

Like “The Dude” on the Big Lebowski, a White Russian.

7. What is the funniest thing your kids have said or done lately?

“Can Daddy cook dinner so it can get dark outside?” Vanessa asked this at 5pm, after a long day of playing. She was ready for it to be bedtime already!

8. What is your favorite quotation?
Don’t gain the world and lose your soul, wisdom is better than silver and gold. Bob Marley.

9. What are you currently working out to on your iPod?

Dr.Dre, Snoop, Notorious BIG, Outkast, The Roots, Kanye West, Warren G/Nate Dogg.

10. Who is your favorite celebrity mom and why?

Kris Jenner. Any mom who has 6 children (5 daughters !!!) is a rockstar in my opinion. She manages to maintain her hip style and class while being an involved mother and high-powered businesswoman.

11. What is something most people don’t know about you?
I used to have a dreadlock, sew patchwork skirts, wear no make-up and go to reggae fests. I camped in a two-man tent for the entire month of January in the Southern Cali desert. I was the only girl with four guys, one of whom is now my husband . Working in the corporate world might have made me more clean cut but I’m still a plain-Jane girl at heart who can rough it like the fellas.

12. What is your secret to staying Hot & Healthy?
A mother must not forget she is more than just a mother and should continue to tap into her personal interests. I run regularly, not just for the physical benefits but for the good endorphins. I come home feeling like a better mom with my batteries recharged. I religiously use facial moisturizers. When you take care of yourself from the inside (eating healthy, spirituality, surrounding yourself with positive people) to the outside (skincare, exercise, etc) it shows and feels great. Additionally, it doesn’t hurt that my husband is my best friend and the sweetest man I know.
